Roland Gustafsson
Roland Gustafsson, born in Markaryd, Sweden 1952, studied theology at Fjellhaug International University College in Oslo, Norway, 1974–1979. Sent by the Swedish Lutheran Mission (SLM) as a missionary, with his family, for service in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya (ELCK) 1980–1991, mainly for theological training of pastors and evangelists at Matongo. Mission Secretary/Mission Director of the SLM 1991–2010, with foreign mission work in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya and Peru. Part time teacher in Missiology at the Lutheran School of Theology in Gothenburg 2005–2017. Called for service as bishop in the Mission Province 2010–2019. A board member in Scriptura Evangelical Literature Mission since 2010, and active as chairman since 2016. Residing in Halmstad and married to Ingrid, with four children and seven grandchildren.
Rune Imberg
Rune Imberg, born at Mnene mission station, Zimbabwe, 1953; studied theology and humanities at Lund University, Sweden, from 1972: B.A. 1976, B.Th. 1980, Dr. Theol. 1987 in Church history. Also employed 1975–83 by the Swedish news agency, Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå (TT), Malmö, working part time. Ordained pastor in the Church of Sweden, 17 Jan. 1988; served as parish pastor in Onsala 1988–90. Sent to Kenya as a missionary together with my family by Swedish Lutheran Mission (SLM); served there 1990–96, teacher at Matongo Lutheran Theological College from 1991, Principal 1992–96. Teacher at Församlingsfakulteten in Gothenburg (Lutheran School of Theology) 1996–2020, Principal 2001–2009. One of the founding members of the Mission Province in Sweden; involved in starting up the congregation in Borås (Johannes församling, 2014) and Kinna (Den Gode Herdens församling, 2018). A Board Member of Scriptura Evangelical Literature Mission since 2005, for many years as Vice Chairman. Has written and / or edited a number of books and articles, mainly dealing with Church history, Mission history and Biblical matters. Residing in Horred and married to Katrina, who is a nurse and midwife, having seven children and 16 grandchildren.
Erling Lundeby
Erling Lundeby, born in Råde, Norway 1952. Graduated from Fjellhaug School of Missions (later Fjellhaug International University College) 1977; cand.theol. Lutheran School of Theology, Oslo, 1982; Th.M. in Missiology, Fuller Theological Seminary, School of World Mission, 1993. Sent by Norwegian Lutheran Mission (NLM) to serve in Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya (ELCK) where he ministered as church planter, pastor and teacher of theology, 1977–1995, 2003–2005. While in Norway served at Fjellhaug as librarian and ass.prof. (Practical Theology) and as archivist of NLM until retiring in 2019. Residing in Stavanger, married to Kirsten Elin, b. Foldøy (1950), four children and six grandchildren.
Richard Ondicho Otiso
Richard Ondicho Otiso, born in Nyamira, Kenya 1970, raised in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya (ELCK). Studied theology at Mwika Lutheran Theological Seminary, in Moshi, Tanzania 1995–2000. Ordained as a pastor in Mwanza for the Evangelical Lutheran Church Tanzania (ELCT) in March 2001. Richard moved to Finland in 2001, studied the Finnish language and culture. From 2005–2007 he did a Master in Theology on Islam and the West and furthermore served in confessional Lutheran congregations of the Mission Diocese in Joensu and Helsinki in 2005–2015. Part time visiting teacher to Evangelical Lutheran Church Tanzania (ELCT/ELVD) 2001–2015, training evangelists who had no prior theological education. Working as a missionary, with his family, for the Evangelical Lutheran Association of Finland (LEAF) since 2016, mainly for reaching immigrants with the gospel in the Helsinki Metropolitan area. He is currently completing a PhD in Sociology of Religion, resides in Helsinki, with his spouse, Kirsi Pohjanen, and their three sons.
Eyob Dinku Tadesse
Eyob Dinku Tadesse, born in Asella, Ethiopia, 1980, studied with Business and Management at different universities in Ethiopia (1998–2017), before diverting to theological studies in Ethiopia and abroad (2020–2026). He worked as Management expert (2000–2011), shifted his career to Church occupation and worked as children and youth Director (2012–2025). After graduating from the Lutheran School of Theology in Gothenburg, Sweden, and his ordination in 2025, he is serving as a pastor in the Ethiopian Evangelical Lutheran Church (EELC), in the Asella Lutheran Congregation and as a Director at Asella Lutheran Theological Seminary. Eyob is married to Fikade Bisrat and has two sons.
