History and Contact

This ministry started in 1978. The first indication of the purpose says:

… to support ongoing ministry of the Church of Sweden … produce and distribute literature, edification based on the Bible and the Lutheran confession … 

The statutes were written and confirmed in 1979 and later on renewed and confirmed in 1997. 

The statutes says the ministry is outside of Sweden, where the need for Christian mission is at hand, both for edification and theological education. Resources for Bible distribution are also important. 

During these +45 years funds have been collected for this ministry (gifts and wills). Lots of books and pamphlets have been written, printed and distributed in southern and eastern Africa, eastern Europe and lately also in South America and India. For the last decades some projects have been implemented in cooperation with the Lutheran Heritage Foundation.

The Board of Scriptura has seven (7) members and two (2) substitutes. The daily work is done by the Working Committee – four members. A General Meeting is held once a year. 

I have been a member of the Board since 2010, and active as Chairman since 2016.
